Bio
For four years I was Chair of the International Society for Horticultural Science Commission on Fruit and Vegetables for Health, and this topic has driven many of the research projects of my PhD students. I have acted as chief- or co-supervisor for 23 students who have completed their PhD’s since 2009. I am a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute for Agricultural and Horticultural Science (and its Vice President) and Life Member of the New Zealand Society of Plant Biologists. I am an Adjunct Professor in the University of Mataram, Indonesia. My DPhil in plant physiology came from the University of Oxford, where I was a Rhodes Scholar.
